Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 16 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions explain the rules that apply when you access the Coventry Fixcore website, submit an enquiry, contact us, or request information about our mobile mechanic services.
The website is operated under the Coventry Fixcore brand. References to “Coventry Fixcore,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in these Terms refer to the operator of this website and the mobile vehicle support services described on it.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the website.
1. About Coventry Fixcore
Coventry Fixcore provides information and enquiry facilities relating to mobile mechanic services for cars and suitable light commercial vans in Coventry and surrounding areas.
Depending on the vehicle, fault, location, working conditions, equipment, parts required and service availability, suitable work may include vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, electrical fault finding, brake repairs, battery replacement, engine-related repairs, air-conditioning repairs, MOT-related repair work and other services described on our website.
Submitting an enquiry does not automatically confirm an appointment or guarantee that a particular repair can be completed at your location.
2. Website Information
We aim to keep the information on this website useful, clear and reasonably accurate. However, vehicle faults and repair requirements vary considerably between vehicles.
Information published on the website is therefore provided for general guidance and should not be treated as a confirmed diagnosis, quotation, repair instruction or guarantee that a particular service will be suitable for your vehicle.
A vehicle may require further inspection or diagnostic testing before the cause of a fault can be established.
3. Mobile Mechanic Service Availability
Mobile attendance depends on factors including:
- Your location and accessibility.
- The vehicle make, model and condition.
- The symptoms or fault reported.
- Whether the vehicle can be worked on safely.
- Weather and environmental conditions.
- The tools or diagnostic equipment required.
- Replacement-parts availability.
- Whether specialist workshop equipment is required.
- Appointment availability.
We may decline, postpone or recommend an alternative repair arrangement when mobile attendance would be unsafe, unsuitable or impractical.
4. Safe Working Location
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about where the vehicle is located.
Mobile repairs normally require a safe, stable and reasonably accessible working area. Certain repairs may not be suitable on busy roads, restricted areas, unstable surfaces, unsafe parking locations or locations where there is insufficient working space.
Where appropriate, we may ask you to move the vehicle to a safer location before work can proceed.
If safe working conditions are not available, the appointment may need to be rearranged or the vehicle may need to be taken to a suitable workshop.
5. Vehicle Information and Customer Responsibilities
When requesting mobile mechanic support, you should provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including where relevant:
- Vehicle make and model.
- Vehicle registration.
- Location or Coventry postcode.
- Warning lights or dashboard messages.
- Symptoms and unusual noises.
- Whether the vehicle starts or drives.
- Previous diagnostic information.
- Relevant repair history.
- Any known recent work carried out on the vehicle.
Incorrect or incomplete information can affect diagnosis, appointment planning, required equipment, parts selection and repair suitability.
6. Diagnostics and Fault Finding
Vehicle symptoms can have several possible causes. An initial description provided by phone, WhatsApp, email or an enquiry form is not a confirmed diagnosis.
Where diagnostic work is required, testing may involve fault-code scanning, electrical checks, mechanical inspection, system measurements, component testing or other appropriate diagnostic procedures.
A diagnostic assessment may identify the likely fault without necessarily completing the repair during the same visit.
Additional faults may also become apparent once testing or dismantling begins.
7. Repair Suitability
Many common repairs can be completed on-site, but some vehicle work may require specialist workshop facilities.
Examples may include extensive engine dismantling, internal gearbox work, major structural repairs, welding, certain alignment procedures or jobs requiring heavy lifting equipment.
If the requested work is not suitable for mobile repair, we may explain the findings and recommend an appropriate next step.
8. Quotations and Pricing
Any price discussed before inspection may be based on the information available at that time.
A quotation may change where:
- The actual fault differs from the reported symptoms.
- Additional faults are discovered.
- Additional labour is required.
- Different parts are required.
- The vehicle has previous damage or modifications.
- Access to components is significantly different from expected.
- Further diagnostic work becomes necessary.
Where reasonably possible, material changes to the scope of work or price should be discussed before additional work proceeds.
Website content should not be interpreted as a fixed quotation unless explicitly stated otherwise.
9. Replacement Parts
Replacement parts may vary by vehicle, specification, availability and customer requirements.
Where applicable, parts may include original equipment, OEM-equivalent or suitable aftermarket components.
Availability and delivery times are outside our complete control, and a repair may need to be rescheduled if the correct component is unavailable.
A part should not be considered suitable solely because another vehicle of the same model uses it; registration, engine specification and component numbers may need to be checked.
10. Customer-Supplied Parts
Where customer-supplied parts are accepted for installation, Coventry Fixcore cannot normally be responsible for the quality, compatibility, performance, manufacturer warranty or underlying condition of those parts.
Additional labour may be required if a supplied component is incorrect or cannot be installed as expected.
Any acceptance of customer-supplied parts should be agreed before the appointment.
11. MOT-Related Repairs
Coventry Fixcore may provide suitable repairs for faults or defects identified during an MOT inspection.
However, Coventry Fixcore does not represent a mobile repair visit as an official MOT test unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Official MOT testing, certification and any required MOT retest must be carried out by an appropriately authorised MOT testing station.
Completing an MOT-related repair does not itself guarantee that the vehicle will pass a later MOT inspection because the authorised tester is responsible for the test result.
12. Air-Conditioning Services
Vehicle air-conditioning faults can involve refrigerant pressure, leaks, compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling fans, electrical components, filters, sensors and other parts of the system.
An AC recharge or gas refill may not be appropriate where a leak or mechanical fault is present. Diagnostic checks may therefore be recommended before refrigerant is added.
The exact work that can be completed at your location depends on the vehicle, fault, equipment requirements and applicable safety considerations.
13. Appointments and Arrival Times
Appointment times are arranged based on availability and the information supplied during booking.
Road conditions, earlier repairs, parts delays, weather and unexpected diagnostic work can occasionally affect arrival times.
Where reasonably possible, customers should be informed if a material delay affects an appointment.
A requested date or time should not be treated as confirmed until it has been accepted by Coventry Fixcore.
14. Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please contact us as early as reasonably possible.
Repeated late cancellations, inaccessible vehicles, incorrect locations or circumstances preventing agreed work from starting may affect future booking availability.
Where parts have been specially ordered for a specific vehicle or job, additional terms may apply to cancellation or return of those parts.
15. Payment
Payment arrangements may depend on the service provided and will normally be explained when the work is arranged or completed.
Customers are responsible for paying agreed charges for diagnostic work, labour, supplied parts and other authorised work.
Where additional work is required, it should be agreed where reasonably possible before those additional charges are incurred.
16. Repair Outcomes
We aim to diagnose faults carefully and complete agreed work appropriately.
However, motor vehicles are complex systems and one symptom can sometimes be connected to more than one fault. Repairing one identified problem does not mean that unrelated or subsequently developing faults cannot occur.
Where a vehicle has multiple underlying defects, further diagnosis or repair may be required.
No statement on this website should be interpreted as guaranteeing that every vehicle fault can be repaired during a single mobile visit.
17. Existing Vehicle Condition
Coventry Fixcore is not responsible for faults, wear, deterioration or damage that existed before agreed work began.
Customers should disclose any relevant known problems, previous repairs, modifications or recent accidents where they could affect the requested work.
Photographs or condition notes may be used where appropriate to record the vehicle’s condition.
18. Vehicle Safety
A vehicle should not be driven if doing so would be unsafe or could cause further damage.
If a mechanic identifies a serious safety concern, the customer may be advised not to use the vehicle until appropriate repairs have been completed.
The final decision to operate a vehicle remains the responsibility of its driver or keeper except where applicable law provides otherwise.
19. Roadside and Emergency Requests
References to roadside or emergency support do not mean that attendance is guaranteed at every location or at every time.
Availability depends on service capacity, location, traffic conditions, vehicle condition and whether the work can be undertaken safely.
If a vehicle is in a dangerous position, blocking traffic or creating an immediate hazard, contact the appropriate emergency or vehicle-recovery service rather than relying solely on a mobile mechanic booking.
20. Website Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website—including text, graphics, layouts, branding, icons, images and original website materials—is owned by, licensed to or used with permission by Coventry Fixcore.
You may view the website for personal and legitimate purposes.
